| Nikon D40x vs. Canon EOS 400D | | My fiance and I were looking to buy a camera but we ended up wanting to get a different one. We can't afford two DSLR's so we're going to have to hash it out soon.I liked the Nikon D80 best, but since it was way out of our budget, I decided on the Nikon D40x (which is 10.1 megapixels compared to the Nikon D40 which is only 6.1 megapixels) instead. I liked it because its small body fit my small hands; plus I've heard that Nikon preferred by professional photographers. Princeton wanted the Canon EOS 400D, which I think is known as digital rebel XTi in some parts of the world, because it produced sharper pictures and because we were already familiar with its interface since we have a Canon Ixus 900Ti.Does anybody have any of these DSLR's? Could you please tell me your opinion about each one to help us make the choice? | |
| | Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi | | I am planning to get my first digital SLR, I've had 2 digital cameras before but I've always wanted an SLR. Comments from professional photograpers/active photographers... Is the canon eos digital rebel XTi a great buy or what? | |
| | Canon Eos 5d or rebel XTi? | | which one would you buy? if you were on a tight budget? could you get away with professional quality with the XTi? or do you really have to bone up and get the Eos 5d? | |
|
| Canon eos 5D | | For all you photographers out there I am wondering if you think this is a good deal for this camera. I am looking to buy my first digital. Thanks.

| problem focusing | | I have a canon eos rebel xsi and Lately I have been having trouble with the camera not wanting to focus when i try to zoom in for a closeup Ive been trying to get really close to the middle of flowers and other smaller things and it doesnt want to focus. Im getting frustrated with it. even if it looks very clear when im looking through it it just freezes up and dont want to take. I have two lenses for it the one that comes with the camera and then one that says 55-250mm it zooms in pretty close but i still cant seem to get it to focus right. Is there a way to turn auto focus off or does anybody have any tips on how I can get it to focus right when im trying to take pictures of aunts and flowers and other smaller stuff. Any help would be appreciated. thanks clntigger | |
| | WHAT IF..... (Complete the phrase...) | |
What if I'm taller? Maybe I can have a future in modeling? LOL
Seriously, I like the camera. I am in love with photography.
What if I own a Canon EOS 500D? I'd be spending my spare time taking photos with all interesting things or people...
What if mylot is not created?
The world wide web will be incomplete! HAHAHA.What's ifs are just thoughts.. I don't consider it as regrets...:)
| | quality on Digital cams | | Canon EOS T1i is just one of the many digital cams you can see around. but ill just focus on this ca. This cam is constructed of a rugged yet lightweight combination of stainless steel and polycarbonate plastic. With 15.1 mega pixels,it enables T1i to record 4752x3168 pixel image. it even have an integrated cleaning system so the user wont worry anymore on how to keep it clean. The T1i is compatible with all the Canon lenses in the EF and EF-S line-up. Did our elders imagined a camera like this 50 years ago? i think not. haha and i bet, there is more to come. | |

| All I really want is a digital camera. | | I am a die hard photographer... to be.
See, I've been dying to get a digital SLR Canon eos rebel EX 18-55 mm lens kit, or a digital SLR Nikon D3000 18-55 mm lens kit for a while now. If I confused you, those are the digital SLR (single lens reflex) camera models that I've been wanting.
I dream about taking a picture with them all the time.
I wonder what it feels like to be a proud SLR owner.
I go to canon and Nikon.com, put those models in my cart and pretend to check out just to practice for the real thing.
Photography is my main hobby and I can't wait to get my first SLR camera, my first REAL photographer's camera. Right now I'm using a cheap Kodak Easyshare C913, which was fine for general picture taking, but I'm ready to move up from general photographer, to ameatur. I'm ready for my SLR.
The total cost: About $500
So far saved: $90
I've been saving every penny I own to begin my expensive journey into the world of serious photography.
If you know what I'm going through, this photographer-without-her-camera-withdraw, then can I get an amen?
