| My Olympus Camera got busted with virus | | So here's what happened. I got a second-hand Olympus Digital camera (which is quite an old model already) from my aunt. I've tried using Olympus camera before and I just love the results of the shots. However, after plugging the USB cord from the cam to my PC (which was loaded with virus at that time), the next time i used my camera, it wouldn't work anymore. There isn't a service center in my side of town so I opted for a cheap camera store technician to fix it. It seemed to work for a while but suddeny got busted again after taking 5 trial shots. I don't know what went wrong. I've heard that Olympus brands are really very sensitive but I never remembered me handling it roughly. Could it have been the PC virus? | |
| | Fuji cameras | | I have an Olympus digital camera but a black mark appears on all photos. So I would like to buy a new camera. Whatever I buy has to be compatible with XD memory cards. So I have a choice out of an Olympus or Fuji camera. I like a good zoom and Fuji seems to have cameras with amazing zoom. Olympus seems more expensive for a camera with a good zoom. Do you suggest I get a Fuji digital camera?
Would suggest I get rid of the 7 XD cards I have an get the more popular SD cards?
Then I would be able to buy almost any make of digital camera. | |
| | I have a digital camera that has so many settings. It's complicated. | | A few years ago, I purchased an Olympus camera that was recommended by Consumer Reports as one of the best digital cameras. I heeded what that article said as, before I read that article, I had my mind set on a Sony Cybershot. Anyway, I bought this Olympus camera and it has an automatic setting. However, if that dial gets turned by accident, it doesn't take very good pictures. Sometimes, I press something incorrectly and get in to a menu that I can't figure out how to get out of. I swear, I would love to just go out and buy one of these newer, compact cameras for $200 and forget about it! Is there anyone else out that that is intimidated by his/her digital camera or gets frustrated with operating it? I'd love to know. | |

| Do You Like Photography? | | I really enjoy taking pictures and wish I could pursue the hobby a bit more. I would love an old 35 mm camera with all the lenses. My brother has this super cool new digital camera with exchangeable lenses like a 35 mm camera. I would love one of those. I had a friend, in photography, several years ago and he told me it's no longer feasable to develop your own film. The digitals are so advanced now and it's much cheaper to process the pictures. Take a look at this picture of my new kitty. I took it with my little Olympus digital camera. Do you think I have some talent for photography, or should I just keep to my hobby? Don't worry about offending me, I will do whatever I want anyways.[em]wink[/em][em]wink[/em] | |

| What brand and model is your camera? | | Im just wondering what brand and model of camera you are using for taking photos. Does it perform very well? Prior having or purchasing it, do you have any preference of any type of camera you would like to have, or how did you manage to chose one? At the moment, Im using Sony and Olympus digital compact cameras which are "point and shot" units. Frankly, compact cameras like Sony and Olympus are dependable and easy to carry. Well, you can visit my flickr site to find some of these images taken from these cameras at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/digital_explorer/sets/ | |
