Yesterday my hubby gifted me with a brand new Canon Slr Camera for the New Year which I was longing to buy since a long time. I was very happy. My first picture taken out of it is of our two dear sons' pictures, which emerged extremely well. Kindly share with me when you bought your first camera, whose photo did you take first? | |
| | Best Camera for fashion photography | | I work as a photographer for the school magazine, and during the schoolyear, I can use their cameras. We use a Canon SLR, some Olympus SLRs (8meg and 10meg), and an Olympus 8080. I think I photograph best with the Olympus SLRs. I'd like to get a small digital camera this summer. I realize that the lens won't be near as good as an SLR's, but hopefully I'd like to get one that has comparable megapixals and quality of photographs. What woudl you reccomend? I think I can spend about $200 on it. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks!=) | |

| Photography as a Career? | | Lately I have been becoming more involved with my photography, noticing the beauty in everyday life. My question is; if you are a photographer (paid) did you take classes to become a photographer? Did you buy the best equipment or practice with the worst? Do you make decent money with your career or is it just for fun as a side job?
Currently I only have a 7.2 megapixel point and shoot. I generally set it on the lower quality settings and try to take high quality pictures with low quality settings. I am most definitely imrpoving my work.
My dream is to have a Canon SLR camera, if only I had the money to buy one! | |

| | are megapixel cameras truly megapixel cameras? | | i had a friend of mine who is into photography,he said that the current cheap megapixel cameras are are not true 8mp,but rather it takes pictures and blows them up to 8mp...through interpolation or something like that.is it true......how do i know that the megapixel cam is true megapixel cam like the discription says: confused:i noticed that the expensive megapixel cam such as canon slr and stuffs cam 5-6mp but the quality surpasses anything cheaper that 8mp cam.hope i dint sound confusing, someone please clarift this to me . thanks! | |

| Do you think you're a materialistic person? | | I think I'm quite materialistic. I'm not so materialistic that my life is defined by my things and I don't splurge on BIG things. What I do is I weigh my options and buy a lot of smaller things. For example, I wanted to buy the canon SLR decided to go with the sony t-9 cause it goes for about 30% of the price of the SLR, just so I could buy some other stuff with the money I saved..and I love all my belongings! | |
